"The human heart has hidden treasures." ~ Charlotte Bronte.
One of them is hope. Bella Hope. Beautiful Hope.
Today's featured photo is not especially pretty. The metal frame holding the sign is rusting. But when I saw the words, BELLA HOPE, my heart did a little leap. As I snapped this picture, I felt uplifted just being reminded that HOPE IS. It is in you and me and in the world. And it is beautiful.
What surrounds hope, what surrounds us, may sometimes look rusty - like the sign. At times we may feel so discouraged that the hope within us seems tired and worn, fading. It's in those times, in these times, that we need to hold hope. And let hope hold us.
Let's do something today that nurtures hope. Let's stir it in us with a memory, a movie, a scent, a sight, a song, a story, a prayer, a choice...
Let's choose hope, cherish it, let it light our way, and share it.
With love and compassion,
Charlene
PS - One of the stories in The Twelve Gifts from the Garden is "Bella Hope." It's about holding hope after Hurricane Irma hit Sanibel Island. It's about holding hope in all of life's storms. May we do that in this confusing time.
THE FIFTH GIFT IS HOPE. Through each passage and season may you trust the goodness of life. - from The Twelve Gifts of Birth
