"Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
At times we feel a nudge to experiement. Perhaps it's to stand up, speak out, sing, dance, propose an idea, hike, ride a bike, write a play, start a business, create with clay, dress a different way, or a thousand other possibilities. Our ego says, "Maybe another day" or "No way."
But consider the rest of what Emerson had to say about experiments: "What if they are a little coarse and you may get your coat soiled or torn? What if you fail, and get fairly rolled in the dirt once or twice. Up again, you shall never be so afraid of a tumble."
It's okay to sometimes fail, fall down, experience disappointment and feel embarrassed.
We're meant to stretch and grow into our gifts, talents, and greater selves.
So be fully you.
With courage,
Charlene
