Dear Touchstone Friends,
I'm asking for your help.
I'm reminded of how I felt two weeks before my babies' estimated due dates. Excited. Nervous. Eager. Impatient. Ready. Thrilled. Curious.
Here I am two weeks and two days before the birth of my seventh book. Unlike my two healthy baby girls who both arrived two weeks past their due date, my book is expected to arrive right on September 15.
I'm excited and eager to hold it in my hands, the fully developed printed book. Kind of like a baby's sonogram, I've had glimpses of it and I'm thrilled with what I have seen of its design.
The Twelve Gifts from the Garden, like every newborn thing, could use some help coming into this world. In the case of a book, what eases its way is having pre-orders.
I would very much appreciate if you would help my book be welcomed into the world with orders waiting for it. Plus, if you order now, you'll be among the first to receive it.
If you like Today's Touchstones, I'm confident you are going to like The Twelve Gifts from the Garden: Life Lessons for Peace and Well-Being. It's a collection of stories, reflections, and essays inspired by the exotic and native trees and flowers in the botanical garden on Sanibel
Island. More significant than what the book is about is what it can do. It's my hope that reading it will transport you to the garden and into a virtual experience in nature that will soothe, comfort, uplift, and encourage you. I believe you will enjoy holding this book in your hands too and sharing it with others.
To make it very easy for you, should you agree to help, I'm placing several links here so you can choose to order from an Indie bookseller, Amazon, or BarnesandNoble. Thank you so much for responding, if you can. Please send good wishes too. And let me know if you would like me to send you signed bookplates
for one or any number of books you might order.
Thanks again. I appreciate you!
Truly,
Charlene
Here's a portion of what one endorser said:
"Reading The Twelve Gifts from the Garden brought me to a state of deep peace with a greater sense of well-being. Charlene's stories resonated with my own, stirring my hope and wonder...she weaves together the qualities she sees in plants, with the natural resources in us, and her own life experiences in a way that comforts, uplifts, and encourages
readers to pay attention to Mother Nature. She will inspire you to notice what resonates within you, to listen and feel for your own insights when visiting the green places around you. Her life-affirming messages are timeless and timely. This is a book I'll be gifting to others.
