"Grief can be the garden of compassion." ~ Rumi
Rumi goes on to advise us to keep our hearts open through everything. Pain can be our "greatest ally in life's search for love and wisdom."
I wonder Is it true? Our greatest ally? As I ask, memories surface. Visions come. With them I feel a measure of both the pain and the love.
Can you recall such a time? Being human, we all must have had them. We at least have had the opportunity for them. But sometimes we stifle them.
I want to write more about this and include an example I've shied away from sharing. I'm going to write about it in a blog later this week.
For now, let's be willing to accept, allow, and embrace our feelings and experiences, all of them that come to us in the course of a day, in the course of our lives.
Keeping our hearts open will surely lead us to greater love and wisdom.
With trust,
Charlene
