“Holding on is believing that there’s only a past; letting go is knowing that there’s a future.” ~ Daphne Rose Kingma
Yesterday I was startled when I came upon this mourning dove, but she remained calm and peaceful-looking despite my sudden appearance. She seemed to trust me enough to let me take this photo. Or, perhaps she sat bravely still because inside that light fixture was a nest I could not see. Either way, the close encounter felt like a blessing.
I then learned that the mourning dove is a symbol of peace, new beginnings, and grace, and I gave thought to those words in these times.
Let's live this day, as best we can, with inner peace and trust in new beginnings that lead us, with grace, to harmony and peace among us.
May we have faith and remember that beneath all the upsets, challenges, conflicts, uncertainties, hurts, angers, and fears, there is love within us and among us.
I wish you a day of abundant blessings.
With hope,
Charlene
