"People are just as wonderful as sunsets. I don't find myself saying, 'Soften the orange a bit on the right corner.' I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds." ~ Carl R.
Rogers
It's true. I wouldn’t think of trying to control a sunset.
Who am I to make adjustments in the unfolding of another human being? I will try to soften parts of myself, however, such as my heart whenever it needs softening.
Wouldn't it be awesome if we respected everyone's journey of learning, healing, and discovery?
More than corrections, we need compassion, I think.
If I start to try to change someone, I hope sunsets immediately come to mind so what I change is just me in that moment.
Aiming to love,
Charlene
