“There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly live.” ~ Dalai Lama
Do you know this little flower? It’s commonly called Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow because each bloom lasts just three days. As it lives this life span, it changes from a vibrant periwinkle, to a medium blue-violet, and then to white before falling to
the ground after its third day.
This flower has a proper name: Brunsfelsia. Whether a bloom is deep, medium, or pale in color, it is a Brunsfelsia. Whatever its age, it is experiencing life today.
Like these flowers, as we grow though ages, stages, and changes, we are the same person.
And although we can look backward and forward in time, let's mainly be mindful of now and live in present time.
Last thought: Whatever age or stage we are, let’s be grateful for our lives and respect all life in bloom, everywhere, now.
And always,
Charlene
