There is always light. 

Depending on where we stand in dark places and how we stand in dark times, light may appear to us as bright beams, subtle rays, or tiny pinpricks.

If we can't seem to find even a pinprick of light in outer circumstances, let's look within. 

There's a window we can open by shifting our thinking, choosing a change of heart, and seeing differently. It's hope's window.
