"When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don't throw away your ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer." ~ Corrie Ten Boom.
We all move through tunnels as we journey through life.
Unlike literally riding a train and simply sitting still as we move through tunnels, in life we are called to work in partnership with The Engineer.
I love today's Corrie Ten Boom quote.
I also love this St. Teresa of Avila quote:
“Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good.
Whatever our beliefs about God, our eyes, ears, hands, feet, compassion, and loving actions make a difference in situations and outcomes, in all matters.
Whatever we do or don't do when we experience dark passages, let's avoid fearing and despairing. No giving up or giving in to darkness. Let's stretch to our highest ideals and bring light into the world.
With faith, hope, and love.
