And somehow, many people think of talent only in terms of athletic, academic, and artistic abilities.

Far too many people say, "I don't have talent. I'm not good at anything."

Too many people hide their talent, uniqueness, and dreams.

Too many say, "Who am I to dream such a dream?"

But every person has his and her own gift of talent, a unique mix of abilities, interests, dreams, leanings, and yearnings.

Let's expand our understanding of talent so that we may better recognize and develop the talent in ourselves and encourage others to do the same.

The world needs every one of us to stand tall.
