“Patience is the companion of wisdom.” ~ St Augustine
Patience is also a companion of peace. And peace is related to the promise of hope and new beginnings.
In my thoughts and prayers, mindful of Yom Kippur, I'm asking and giving thanks for patience in our present moments, peace upon our past, and promise for our future.
Wishing ease and grace to all,
Charlene
About Yom Kippur:
I am not Jewish. But, along with sending good wishes to all who are, I like to honor the days deemed holy by the Jewish tradition and by all creeds. I may not fully understand the significance of all holidays, but celebrating the holiness of a day nourishes my heart and feeds my soul.
I've wondered what it would be like if we approached every day as a holy one. I'm also wondering: what you think about this notion? I suppose the sense of a day being sacred and special would wear off. But imagine if we woke up and saw wonder in each new day instead of taking day after day for granted. Imagine if we honored every sunrise and sunset.
