“If you look at little kids and wild animals, these are two groups of things that whenever I'm with them forces me to be in the moment." ~ Dominic Monaghan
What leads you into the moment?
Like actor and nature lover, Dominic Monaghan, being with young children and seeing wildlife make me present.
What does this have to do with The Twelve Gifts?
In the present moment we become more peaceful, playful, and more creative. We are more apt to be friendly and more able to solve problems. We become more grateful and joyful and more ready to love and be
loved.
So let's spend more time in the present moment. Here are a few suggestions:
Plan times to slow and deepen your breathing, such as every time you wash your hands.
Spend time in nature or with a young child.
Every day, chew one raisin - or an almond or some other small item of food - very slowly with your eyes closed and your full
attention.
Notice things. Notice beauty. Notice things to photograph.
Focus on what you are sensing and experiencing - what you are seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and feeling - without judging.
Make time to just be.
In the moment, at peace, in love, and with hope,
Charlene
