"There are at least three reasons we should be slow to judge: We Sometimes Don’t Have the Full Story. We Often Project Our Own Issues. We Usually Regret It Later."
~ Michael Hyatt
I was on the verge of jumping to a judgment yesterday. While driving home from an errand, a car rushed up behind me, then swerved around to pass me at high speed. It felt like dangerous situation caused by a reckless driver. Actually, I was beyond the verge. I judged the driver as a careless, selfish person. I felt angry and self
righteous.
A moment later, I realized that around the corner was the Emergency Entrance to our local hospital. Hmm. I wondered if the driver had a reason for speeding. Sure enough, the car turned in and rushed toward the ER door. I was reminded by my conscience to take care, be slow to arrive at conclusions, and do not judge the person, even if it makes sense to judge his or her actions.
Did you take a guess about what is in the photo in the upper left box of the collage? It's a close up of dew drops on a outdoor table.
Along with refraining from judging people today, let's look at things from different perspectives. Consider photographing things differently. Be surprised. Be awed. Be joyful about life.
With love and kindness,
Charlene
