"Lord, give me patience. And I want it now.” ~ Unknown
For many of us in the path of Dorian, as we wait, not knowing when, where, and how the storm will arrive and what will happen, this day is characterized by dismay at what we see happening in the Bahamas, deep concern for the people and animals there, and some impatience as the storm moves so slowly.
The photo is part of our butterfly garden, before the storm. Although we've had a few short bands of rain, so far it has been a mostly sunny day, with birds, butterflies, and squirrels feeding and frolicking. We don't know what tomorrow will bring. Or the next day. Or the next.
This is true, always, not just during a hurricane watch. So let's live in the now with patience and gratitude.
And faith, hope, and love,
Charlene
