Peace - along with joy, love, beauty, hope - come to us when we catch a glimpse of the "center" that is everywhere. 

Among my favorite quotes, one related to this, is this one:

"God is a circle whose center is everywhere and circumference nowhere."

I have seen it attributed to St. Bonaventure, Voltaire, and others. Who knows? I just know that it helps me to get a sense of God's presence in my breath and yours, in my heart and yours, in all breaths and hearts, always near, always far, everywhere.
