"If you think you're too small to have an impact, try going to bed with a mosquito." ~ Anita Roddick
Ha ha. Funny. But this quote makes a good point. Think again.
You are not too small, insignificant, or powerless. You matter. And there is always a way to be heard, to be felt, and to make a positive difference while being the best version of you.
You have probably heard the story of the child tossing a beached starfish into the ocean.
In case you haven't heard it, or have forgotten it, it goes like this:
A high tide had washed hundreds of living starfish onto the shore. The child stoops to pick one up and toss it into the water. She stoops and tosses another one. Then, another. A passing adult sees the plight of the starfish as hopeless and tells the girl she can't make a difference. There is no way she can return them all. Tossing one more into the ocean, the child says, "It made a difference to that one."
As we did on the previous days of this week, let's look for small ways to make a difference today.
With love and joy,
Charlene
