"There is nothing more beautiful than personality wrinkles." ~ Emilia Wickstead
The most beautiful trees in the garden are the mature ones, the old ones, the ones with far-reaching roots and thickened bark, which is like our skin.
Each old tree has seen a lot. It may be scarred and no longer straight in its stance, but its strength can bear the weight of a swing with a child in it, riding with joy.
If only the old trees could speak to us and tell us their stories.
Wordlessly, they do.
When we tune in and feel for the life in a tree, we can sometimes hear a language that is silent but sensed in our hearts and souls.
Trees age gracefully. We can too.
Let's aim to age with love, laughter, and gratitude,
Charlene
PS - Consider these quotes:
"With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come." ~ William Shakespeare
"Your face is marked with lines of life, put there by love and laughter, suffering and tears. It's beautiful.” ~ Lynsay Sands
"We have to be able to grow up. Our wrinkles are our medals of the passage of life. They are what we have been through and who we want to be." ~ Lauren Hutton
I like the story you’ve written on your face”
