"All the lessons are in nature. You look at the way rocks are formed - the wind and the water hitting them, shaping them, making them what they are..." ~ Diane Lane
For several years now I have been gathering lessons from nature, especially from rocks, stones, and gardens. Many of my nature lessons are from a garden on Sanibel Island. I call them "Gifts from the Garden." You may recall that I have shared a few here.
Today I'd like to repeat my favorite polished stone lesson. You can read it within the circle of stones and see the truth in the stones themselves.
Today, with this lesson in our minds and hearts, let's admire diversity. Let's notice it in all the shades of green in the trees, plants, bushes, and grasses. Let's notice the rich variations in the world of flowers - so many different forms, colors, shapes, and sizes. Scents too. Imagine if everything green was just one shade of green. Imagine if every flower was the same. Imagine if clouds formed into just one shape.
Today, let's appreciate the rich diversity within humanity as we value our own uniqueness and that of all others.
With wonder and awe,
Charlene
