"Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." ~ Maya Angelou
Consider three take-aways from this quote.
The first simply and directly reminds us to do our best in the here and now. Let's do that.
The second trusts we are growing, learning, and expanding in understandings. When we know better, we can do better. Let's do that.
Here's a third take-away.
Have you ever looked back on something you did and, judging yourself, said, "I should have known better!"? It's likely we all have.
The fact is: when we don't yet know something, we just don't know it. It may be about how to do something better or how to do it at all.
Instead of judging ourselves for not having done better when we didn't yet know better, let's keep learning and doing better. Loving better too.
Today, let's do our best at LIVING The Twelve Gifts and watching for new understandings.
For health, peace, and joy,
Charlene
