"We've got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it."
~ John Lennon
Today
let's make sure that love is not sitting on a shelf, behind a closed door in the recesses of the heart, withering from old hurts or new fears or lack of attention because we've been too busy or...how many ways and causes might there be?
A famous Rumi quote comes to mind:
"Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it."
As young children, we didn't build barriers around or
against love. It was easy to let go of hurts and move right back into the rich warm flow of loving.
We didn't ignore love either. Tending love was as natural as breathing.
The vibrant love we had as children is still within us. Like a precious plant, even if it has been neglected or over protected, love is alive, ready to be revived, and eager to bloom again.
Let's open our hearts to unblocking, to freeing, to experiencing, and to expressing love.
Watch.
Feel. Notice how love wants to move through you today.
Toward living fully,
Charlene
