I got that message as a child. I'm not sure where or from whom. It was probably subtle. But I picked up on something that was enough to pretty much keep me "in line."
But I did make ripples. And, oh, how I loved making them, in water and in life. I still do.
How about you? Waves or ripples? Or are someone who likes to make a big
splash?
It seems to me that we are always sending out swells and flows of some sort.
Even our unspoken thoughts and feelings send out energy that touches others and moves on.
With our thoughts, words, actions, and feelings, how are we affecting the world? Are we making peace or creating conflict? Healing or hurting others?
Please consider another quote today, some words of Robert
Kennedy:
"Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."
In some way, each in our own way, may we touch the
world with ripples of hope today.
Or waves!
With love and compassion too,
Charlene
