"The very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope. Not admire it from a distance but live right in it, under its roof."
~ Barbara Kingsolver
What do you hope for in your
life? For your family? For your country? For the world?
Do you have an image of that in your mind? If not, are you willing to form an ideal scene, a picture of your ideals?
That's the least we can do, according to Barbara Kingsolver.
Especially now, in this time of transition and uncertainty in the U.S., having a clear vision of the good we hope to see is the least we can do.
And this "least" is not little. Holding a vision of our highest hopes is large and
powerful.
If we find ourselves picturing and talking about what we don't want, what we fear, what we dread, let's remember Barbara Kingsolver and shift to what we do want. Let's talk about and vision our highest hopes and biggest dreams.
And then...let's live that. Let's be the peace, the love, the freedom and justice and respect for all.
Little by little, day by day, let's create what's truly great.
With love and reverence,
Charlene
