TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

“Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: what is soft is strong.”

     ~ Lao Tzu

Perhaps like me you are feeling concerned
about the stirred-up hate and growing threats of violence in America.

What might we do to softening the building storm? Toward healing the many hurts? Toward justice for all? Toward harmony and peace?

Let's begin by envisioning greater good ahead.

Let's hold visions of respect and kindness existing among us. Let's see, feel, and give thanks for the fairness and justice for all that is coming.

Let's also meet hate with love, anger with peace, despair with hope, meanness with kindness, and fear with faith.

Sound soft? Remember the words of Lao Tzu: "What is soft is strong."

Please consider this too. Everyday at 1:11- or any time, perhaps many times - pause.

Envision peace.
Pray for peace.
Be at peace.

Peace to all countries.

Peace to all people on earth,

Charlene
