I was just telling a friend that often - perhaps always - when I meet a deeply beautiful person, I learn that that person has struggled through suffering and triumphed over a significant challenge.
It seems to me that every deeply beautiful person I know has faced some kind of death. If not an actual physical death, he and she have experienced the death of a dream or an ego death.
Often, the most beautiful people among us have had their beauty polished in a twelve step program or have been transformed on some other spiritual path.
Today, may be we hopeful about everything and respectful of everyone.
If we meet a challenge of any kind, let's try to see it as an opportunity to become more beautiful ourselves.
If we encounter a person who seems "far-from-beautiful," let's remember the Mother Teresa approach and try to see Jesus in disguise.
