When I saw and heard on Facebook a Cal Morris violin performance of The Prayer and read the lyrics...well, the combination led me to tears and to write this:
Guide us too, to a place where we are compassionate. Where we see your beauty in all creation. To a place where we respond to challenges with hope and love, not with fear nor hate. Guide us to a place where we
not only tolerate differences but we honor diversity, we see its value, we celebrate it. Guide us to a place where we treat one another with respect. Inspire us to use the talents you have given us to help make this world a peaceful place.
May we be so guided, today and every day.
