“The motto should not be: Forgive one another; rather Understand one another."
~ Emma Goldman
Emma Goldman thinks this because she believes, "Before we can forgive one another, we have to understand one another."
In my experience, forgiveness has come more freely and fully when I have understanding and an ah-ha of empathy for
my "offender."
Today, whether or not there is something to forgive, let's make a special mindful effort to understand everyone with whom we relate.
Let's aim for ah-has of empathy.
Not only will this help forgiveness, it will promote peace, love, and joy within us and among us.
Compassion too,
Charlene

COMPASSION: May you be gentle with yourself and others. May you forgive those who hurt you and yourself when you make mistakes.
