Whenever we feel fear,
let's remember that we are experiencing the emotion of fear. Let's not hold on to it or claim it as a part of us.
For example, if you catch yourself saying, "I AM afraid" or "I AM fearful," consider changing that to "I AM feeling fear" or "I AM feeling afraid" or "I AM experiencing fear." Notice the
difference?
Like heartburn, fear will pass.
I don't mean to make light of fear and suggest that we simply dismiss it with ease. Fear always offers something for us to learn. Let's just not get stuck in it nor think it is part of our nature.
May we remember that our
nature is strong and courageous.
