“You're an original, an individual, a masterpiece. Celebrate that; don't let your uniqueness make you shy. Don't be someone other than the wonder you are. Every star is important to the sky."
~ Douglas Pagels
The universe is vast, with stars beyond what we see and have numbered.
So if a star could think and talk, it too might sometimes say,
"Who am I to make a difference?"
"I am one among so many."
"Many stars are bigger and
brighter than I am."
"Look at the ones closer to a sun. Maybe they are more valuable than I am."
If all the stars who thought that way suddenly disappeared because they compared themselves with others, which resulted in diminished self worth, the cosmos itself would be diminished. The universe would be less bright. The heavens, less wondrous.
Every star matters. Every human being matters.
Let's celebrate our uniqueness and call upon courage to follow our own paths.
One more thought before closing...
Consider what one small stone can do when it's tossed into a pond. Visualize the circles that ripple out, larger and larger, further and further, impacting the whole body of water.
Like one small stone and one little star, you and I are significant. We make a difference. Let's not be shy.
Blessings to all.
With love and reverence,
Charlene
