“Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to
humble."
~ Yehuda Berg
With love, compassion, and reverence, let's be mindful of words today - the ones we use and how we speak them to others.
May we avoid using words that hinder, hurt, harm and humiliate.
Instead, let's look for opportunities to help, uplift, praise, comfort, and encourage others.
The Prayer of St. Francis can further inspire and guide us.
"Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt,
faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life."
Always,
Charlene
