“Just imagine becoming the way you used to be as a very young child, before you understood the meaning of any word, before opinions took over your mind. The real you is loving, joyful, and free. The real you is just like a flower, just like the wind, just like the ocean, just like the
sun."
~ Don Miguel Ruiz
To what extent can you imagine this?
Can you remember feeling free, boundless, and joyful? Can you recall feeling very differently about time?
I can, vaguely. Very vaguely.
Please, try to remember. Don't you remember? You must remember!
As I write this touchstone, I'm
suddenly hearing the lines of Aldonza to Don Quixote. You must remember.
I think the guiding counselor in each of us sometimes sings, sometimes whispers, somehow says...
Remember who you really are.
Let's live this day listening and leaning toward catching a glimpse, a taste, a sound, or the scent of this remembering.
