TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

"Beauty will save the world."

                         ~ Fyodor Dostoyevsky

No matter what we face or feel, let's look for beauty and aim to bring more of it into the world again today, in honor of Beauty Month.

Consider the words of Etty Hillesum, the young woman at Auschwitz who wrote, "I know what may lie in wait for us...
and yet I find life beautiful and meaningful."

Anne Frank said something similar:
I don't think of all the misery, but of the beauty that remains."

May the perspective of these two women inspire us greatly. We all have the capacity to see beauty despite troubling circumstances in our lives and in the world.

So, instead of dwelling on anything that seems wrong, without neglecting what may need our loving corrective attention, let's also look for beauty and see the glory of life.

In so doing, we will bring more beauty into the world.

Peace and joy too,
Charlene
