"I say love, it is a flower and you, it's
only seed...
Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snow,
Lies the seed that with the sun's love,
in the spring becomes the rose."
~ Bette Midler
I dreamed of Bette Midler singing The Rose. Except, instead of The Rose, Bette was singing The Pearl.
I don't remember the dreamed
lyrics so I can't quote them here, but instead of being about love, the song was about embracing grit with compassion and transforming it into a beautiful pearl.
It seems like a timely message for me now and a message for each of us, always.
May we embrace life's irritants with compassion and transform them into beauty.
Wisdom too,
Charlene
PS - Let's consider this quote today too:
"In order to complete our amazing life journey successfully, it is vital that we turn each and every dark tear into a pearl of wisdom." (Anton St. Maarten)
