TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

"It's good to remember that in crises, natural crises, human beings forget for awhile their ignorances, their biases, their prejudices. For a little while, neighbors help neighbors and strangers help strangers."

                     ~ Maya Angelou

It's beautiful to see, feel, and be a part of what happens following a natural crises.

Recall hurricanes Katrina and Sandy, all hurricanes, the Thailand Tsunami, all floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions...

Reflect not on the destruction and pain of such events but the aftermath.

We - humanity -  pull together at such times. Hearts shocked and broken open, compassion pours out and flows among us.

May we be mindful that this loving power dwells in us always.

Today, may we aim to bring it forth, no matter what is happening in the world and in our own little worlds as we let go of biases and prejudices and fears of "strangers."

With reverence and joy,
Charlene

REVERENCE. May you appreciate the wonder that you are and the miracle of all creation.
COMPASSION. May you be gentle with yourself and others. May you forgive those who hurt you and yourself when you make mistakes.
