"Would that Christmas lasted the whole year through, as it ought."
~ Charles Dickens
Order in our house is restored - to some extent - with gift wrappings discarded and dishes cleaned.
Lots of little hand prints remain, however. Lingering with them are the love and the joy of celebrating Christmas with young children.
I would like to keep that energy
and the best of Christmas spirit lasting in our home and in my heart.
Toward that goal, I plan to focus, for the next twelve days, on twelve gifts that "My True Love gave to me."
The first gift is strength. "May you remember to call upon it whenever you need it" is the prayerful wish I am making for me and for you this day.
I don't know what, if anything, may require strength from me today. But I am trusting that strength has been given - to me, to you, to every child born - and that it is always present, ready to be called upon.
Please join me in opening to greater appreciation of the gift of strength.
