"I know of nothing more valuable, when it comes to the all-important virtue of authenticity, than simply being who you are."
~ Charles R. Swindoll
Of course we know the wisdom of: To thine own self be true.
But it helps to be reminded because we sometimes forget. Or we slip in some situations, such as at small talk events, or when we feel insecure, or when we feel that we said the "wrong" thing, or when we try to
cover up a feeling of embarrassment, or we don't want to admit we don't know something...the list goes on.
But it feels so good to be real. It builds well-being and true friendship too.
I experienced this recently at a small talk event at which I forgot peoples' names and that I had met them before and made other little "goofs."
Today and every
day, may we practice authenticity and become more and more beautifully real.
With love and courage,
Charlene
