"Eventually all things fall into place, Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moments, and know that everything happens for a reason."
~ Albert Schweitzer
As the September days draw near the anniversary date of my mother's passing in 1996, I am recalling the powerful and peace-filled things she shared during the last few weeks of her life. Among them: that everything was
falling into place.
From her words, gestures, and the look on her face, it was clear that she was seeing meaning and beauty in the whole of her life as well as in the parts where there had been confusion.
What she shared is a touchstone memory of hope and faith for me.
Along with today's quote, is there something in your life experience that can serve as such a touchstone for you today?*
For all the times we don't understand what
is happening and why, may we remain at peace in the mystery.
With hope, faith, and the joy of living,
Charlene
PS - If you haven't already done so, consider starting a collection of memories that help you feel especially "in touch" with life's gifts.
