TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

"So go ahead. Fall down. The world looks different from the ground."

                                        ~ Oprah Winfrey

Is there something you want to do but are feeling afraid? Who hasn't fallen down?

My grandchildren fall down a lot because, at age five, they are often running, climbing, stretching themselves to new heights, and exploring in so many ways.

True, they sometimes cry. But usually they say, "I'm okay. I'm okay," as they pick themselves up and run off.

I have too. Cried, that is. And picked myself up. Like you.

May we be brave instead of afraid. Instead of holding ourselves back, let's stretch and strive to reach our dreams and ideals.

And if we fall? May we learn from the ground and go on.

With courage,
Charlene
