TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

"I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection."
                                        ~ Leonardo Da Vinci

I also love those who can weep openly during troubles. Why not admire when people reveal whatever is real for them? Showing vulnerability can be a demonstration of strength.

Of course, there is something inspiring about smiling during hardship because gratitude for life and joy are powerfully present. Or perhaps it's faith, hope, and confidence.

Whether we smile or weep, may we gather strength from every distress. And, with reflection during such times, may we grow in courage, compassion, wisdom, and loving.

Truly,
Charlene

PS - Consider this strength-building affirmation from a recent Daily Word message:

Just as steel becomes stronger after it is heated to a high temperature, my ability to draw on my inner strength grows as I steadfastly overcome obstacles.

STRENGTH. May you remember to call upon it whenever you need it.
