TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

"No one asks the seed why it hasn't borne fruit or the sapling why it is not able to carry the weight of a child's swing."
                                        ~ Daily Word

I love this quote. It appeared in yesterday's Daily Word, one of the devotionals I read each morning.

Of course we don't expect a seed to bear fruit before it's time or a sapling to bear the weight of a swing or a hammock. Nor do we don't ask why a baby is not yet talking or criticize the toddler when he falls down while trying to walk.

Today, let's be patient and compassionate with ourselves and others. We too are works in process, still growing at our own rate, learning according to our own curriculum.

With love, respect, and reverence for all,
Charlene
