TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

"I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy."
                                        ~ Rabindranath Tagore

While many of us think of service as volunteer work, service is also an attitude and a way of being.

We can be "in service" no matter what we are doing, including all the work that we do at home and out in the world for compensation.

In fact, if we shift to a service perspective while doing something we are not enjoying, the result is often a bubbling up of joy.

So let's aim to be "in service" today and open our hearts to a flow of joy.

With loving,
Charlene

PS - Consider the word "seva" which, in Sanskrit, means “selfless service.” In ancient India seva was believed to help one's spiritual growth and at the same time contribute to the improvement of a community. Wishing you a joyful day!

JOY. May it keep your heart open and filled with light.
