"Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it's at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others."
~ Audrey Hepburn
Have you ever heard the story about the four-foot forks? It's a parable about the difference between heaven and hell on earth. Hell is when everyone is starving because even though there's an abundance of food, they can't reach their mouths with the only eating utensil they have, which are forks that are four feet long. Heaven is when everyone simply reaches out and feeds one
another.
There are times we need to do things ourselves. There are times we must focus on self care.
But may we always be ready to give a hand when it is needed by someone and to accept help when we are in need.
Picturing the parable, and with gratitude for the abundance that is available for us all, may we each do our part to create heaven on earth.
With love and
beauty,
Charlene
