TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

"Seeds of faith are always within us; sometimes it takes a crisis to nourish and encourage their growth."

                     ~ Susan L. Taylor

Like strength, may we call upon faith whenever we need it, yet not wait for a crisis to reach for it nor to nourish it.

I've suggested this simple activity before but I'm feeling nudged to offer it again:

Consider keeping a little zip-close bag of mustard seeds in a nightstand drawer, a purse, or any handy place. Occasionally, or often, retrieve just one. Hold it in your closed palm in an embracing way. Recognize that you do have at least that much faith, even if it is only that "the sun will come out tomorrow." You always have access to much more than that, but even with that little seed of faith, you can move mountains.

Let us pray, each in our our way, with confidence and thanksgiving, growing faith.

Hope too,
Charlene
