I've used the quote before but it is one of those messages that many of us need to hear again and again.
I don't think I've ever thrown it away, but often my confidence wanes.
Like courage, confidence is always within us, but we don't always feel it or experience having it. And then we might disregard it, or believe we don't have it. Maybe that's a bit like
throwing it away.
If yours has seemed low or not even present lately, welcome it back. How?
The first thing I do is ask, in prayer, for help and guidance in prayer. Ask and you will receive ideas.
You may be guided to recall times you were filled with confidence. Perhaps have a
friend remind you of times you demonstrated confidence. You might imagine tapping into the wellspring of gifts within you and draw up a cup of confidence. Or, perhaps sing a song like Maria in The Sound of Music:
"I have confidence in sunshine
I have confidence in rain
I have confidence that spring will come again
Besides which you see I have confidence in me."
Embrace your confidence and be richly rewarded.
With so much more,
Charlene
