TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

"How many times must the cannon balls fly Before they're forever banned?...
How many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?...

How many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?...

How many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?.."

~ Bob Dylan, Blowin' in the Wind

We can wonder when "they" will do something about the guns, the violence, war, injustice, poverty. When will they learn?

When will "he" (or she or this person or that person) better see and hear and respond more wisely, more kindly, more fairly? When will they learn?

Pope John Paul II said that the "Blowin in the Wind" answers are indeed in "the winds of spirit."

For answers to all our answerable questions as well as all seemingly unanswerable ones,
may we listen within for wisdom's guidance, learn what is ours to learn, and act with love, compassion, and hope.

Today and every day,
Charlene
