"Faith has to do with things that are not seen and hope with things that are not at hand."
~ Thomas Aquinas
Yes, this Aquinas quote is a paraphrase of "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not see."
Today may we bring forth the faith that is always within us. And may we apply it to all the things in our lives that call for faith. I don't know about you, but I always have one or several such things.
One of the biggest things was when I faced cancer and was told there is no cure.
The first time I started using the Hebrews 11:1 quote was when my mom had a stroke and we were told to prepare ourselves for her passing. She did recover and, in fact, became healthier than she was before the stroke.
So whether "what is hoped for" is a healing of the body, a healing of a relationship, a turnaround of a business, or the realization of a dream of any kind, may we hold faith because it can help bring about miracles. May we also hold faith that gifts and blessings can and will come from all the challenges we faith.
Holding faith with you,
Charlene
PS - I want share my appreciation for my daughter, Krista, who wove the Hebrews 11:1 quote into a beautiful encouraging letter she wrote to me when my mom had that stroke.
Thank you, Krista.
