"Year by year the complexities of this spinning world grow more and more bewildering and so each year we need all the more peace and comfort in joyful simplicities."
~ Woman's Home Companion, December 1935
How often do we look back and long for more simple times? Yet, in every past day and age, the present folks experienced increased complexities.
Probably, wise guidance always has been, and is, to find peace and comfort in life's beauty and simple pleasures.
May we nurture ourselves this day and every day with joyful simplicities for our bodies and souls.
With love,
Charlene
PS - I read this quote yesterday in Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach. I'd like to share this one too from Sarah's essay inspired by the quote above: People need joy quite as much as clothing.
May we use wisdom today to find what stirs our
joy.
