"Grief is like the ocean; it comes on waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim."

                                                                                         ~ Vicki Harrison

I'm sharing this quote because we all sometimes know the waves of grief.

They are washing over me and through me as I grieve the loss of my beloved cat, Bailey. And, I'm wanting to be present and personal today.

Also, the last sentence is true, wise, and applicable always,
whatever we are experiencing.

So, may we learn to swim
and remember to swim,
guided by wisdom,
knowing when to float,
when to paddle,
and when to stroke
our way through the waters,
with love and compassion.

With an opened heart,
Charlene
