Let's recall a hurricane, fire, flood, a tsunami - some terrible disruption of harmony and well-being - not to reflect
on the destruction and pain of such events but on the goodness we saw in the aftermath.
We - humanity - pull together at such times. With hearts shocked and broken open, compassion pours out and
flows among us.
This is who we are in our core - you and I and billions of us. I believe we all come into this world ready to love and
be loved, in fact, needing to receive and give love.
Sometimes, too often, the inherent love and goodness in a person gets covered with a grime of hurt, blame, fear, and
hate.
Today, no matter what's happening in the world out there, in which we are a part, and in the world within us, let's
bring out the best of what's in us, notice beauty in some form - goodness, too - and act kindly.
Actually, may we see beauty and goodness in many forms and places!
Holding love and hope,
Charlene
