Yesterday I came across this touchstone from years ago. And years before that, I had this experience. It feels like
a good time to share it again.
I was in front of Jerry's Market on Sanibel Island - feeling stressed about something - when I spotted
a white dove holding a twig in its beak.
The moment I noticed the dove, the bird seemed to look directly into my eyes. Suddenly I felt a much-needed
sense of peace and wonderment. That twig was
like a stem of peace, and that little bird seemed like an angel in disguise.
I am hoping the bird you can see in the photo can convey a sense of peace to you today, and that we can all pass
some peace on. So much is needed by so many now.
Like that little bird, let's be carriers of comfort and encouragement for one
another.
