"Every year of my life I grow more convinced that it is wisest
and best to fix our attention on the beautiful and the good, and dwell as little as possible on the evil and the false." - Richard Cecil
I'm convinced that the more we see beauty and goodness, the more we experience peace, hope, love, joy, and greater well-being in our lives.
I am also convinced that what we think, feel, say, and do affects not only our own health and well-being and that of others close to us, it affects the whole world.
Like the General Electric slogan that was in use from 1979 to 2003, "We bring good things to life," let's "bring good things to life."
First, let's wisely protect our hearts and minds from fear and hate. They only lead to
increased anxiety, mistrust, and false blaming - nothing good. In fact, they can lead to more violence. Yes, we need to address the sickness of terrorism, but not with fear and hate.
Love is stronger, wiser, and healthier than fear and hate. So let's take care to contribute love, goodness, and positive energy, expectations, and visions into the
world.
In addition to offering smiles, kindness, respect, and helpfulness to one and all, let's listen to what our hearts are guiding us to be and do. We each have our own special goodness and beauty to contribute.
What is your response to this?
Wishing
you the best of life's gifts.
Always,
Charlene

May your deeds reflect its depth.
